Well, the church craft fair is behind me
and it was a huge success.
Thank you for all of your kind thoughts and words
and for those who visited and went home with little treasures!
On Saturday night, I came home and just sat and stitched
binding down,
Soooo....
I have a finish!
My "Shirt Top" quilt!
I love this quilt!
(It is straight.... just a problem with the person hanging it on the Design Wall!)
:)
This is the quilt made from 7 recycled men's shirts.
The top cost me $15 to make and I used solid red on the back,
which I bought on sale for almost half price!
I was planning on using the left-over shirt fabric for the binding,
but really like the solid red. It gives it a little extra
pop of color.
The Swirling design for the quilting just adds to the fun of this quilt.
I used the pattern on this blog to make this quilt.
There will be more of these in my future!
Fun and easy to make.
Please visit Patchwork Times to see what others are creating.
Happy Quilting!

Congrats on the success of your church bazaar! I love your recycled shirt quilt - wonderful use of color and value placement to create such nice movement throughout the quilt.
Sitting and sewing the binding can be very relaxing. It is one of the parts of quilting that I enjoy the most. I love the pops of red on your shirt quilt, the swirls are great.

Your quilt looks so soft and cuddly. Love the red!!
Glad things went good for you at the bazaar.
Wow! Pretty and economical? Nicely done!
I absolutely love it! You did a great job with minimum expense.
Great pattern and so interesting with all the plaids. Congrats!
I'm really liking it.
I love things made from recycled clothes and you've made quite a beautiful quilt with those shirts! I agree with your choice of the red binding. It's the perfect color and is a reminder of the red shirt you've spread evenly across the quilt.
This is a wonderful shirt quilt Ramona - great job!
Beautiful job. I too made one of these quilts last year for our Sportsman's club auction. http://joysjotsshots.blogspot.com/2013/08/7-cowboy-shirt-quilt-for-sportsman-club.html Hard to beat the colors the designer used. The red really tops off the design. Bought my shirts at a yard sale by the bag full for about 5$ with shirts left over.
