Christmas Tree Skirt

Next month we are invited to the wedding of a
dear friends' son.
As some of you know,
my traditional wedding gift, when appropriate,
is a Christmas Tree Skirt.

The wedding will be here before we know it,
so the Christmas tree skirt needs to be made.

I saw a tree skirt on line and knew it would be an easy one to make.
The fabrics in the picture were dull and kind of boring.
Thankfully, I had a fat quarter bundle just waiting to be used.

The fabric line is "Splendid" by Robin Pickens.
I just love the colors and designs in this line.

Cardinals were fussy cut for the middles of these blocks.

Nice patches were made from some of the other fabrics.

This is the tree skirt so far.  I need to add some borders to make
it a bit larger and yardage needed to be ordered for these.
Hopefully it will arrive quickly and this can be finished.

Happy Quilting!

I knew that had to be yours when I saw it linked to Sarah this morning. Every time I see one of yours I think "I should do that." Maybe this year ...

Your tree skirt idea as a wedding gift is so nice. They will think of you each year at Christmas when they pull that out. Love these fabrics!

Hi Ramona,
Karen pointed out your blog to me. She said that you sent her a block for her signature quilt and that you are in Montpelier, VA! Is that right? Do you know that we have a quilt group right here in Montpelier? https://countryschoolquilters.blogspot.com/
