Guess What I'm Starting??

My daughter, who banned me from making her any more quilts,
has asked for a quilt for their guest bed.
She didn't need to ask me twice!

This was a while ago that she asked,
so I've been collecting fabrics for this quilt.
She's like I am... loves turquoise, blues and greens.
It has been fun shopping the batik sections
and raiding my stash for these colors.

The pieces have been cut using these templates that I ordered
from the pattern designer and the small rotary cutter.
They are very easy to use and the pattern is very easy to follow.

I'm excited to see all of the combinations that come out of these piles.

These are by my machine, ready to be sewn together.

Four blocks are finished....only 107 to go!
They have a queen size bed, so I'll be making these blocks for a while.
:)

Happy Quilting!

Had to laugh when I read only 107 to go. LOVE the colors, and wide variety of shapes you're using, but surely that makes the sewing and quilting more tedious? Keep us posted on your progress.

I clicked on your link for the designers store but when I clicked on her patterns they do not show up as being for sale. I emailed her, I love how the pattern looks with all the colors

What a cool pattern! So, question -- do you put anything on those acrylic templates to prevent them from sliding as you're rotary cutting? I've been cutting out clam shells with acrylic templates lately and I swear I'm wasting half of the fabric with miscuts because I cannot for the life of me cut around a curved template without it shifting on me!

You will have those 107 finished in no time. I smiled when you said your daughter did not want any more of your quilts. I can't imagine that. I would let you make me however many quilts you please. This is going to be a fabulous quilt. LOVE those fabrics!

Oh my goodness, Ramona!!! This is already looking fabulous. I am sure it will make a spectacular finish. And the designer should thank you for making the design popular!!!
