En Provence is Finished!!

Earlier this week I picked up
En Provence
from the Longarmer.
The binding was already made,
so I trimmed the quilt and sewed the binding onto it that night.

The handwork was finished this morning,
finishing this quilt!

This was my first time participating in a
Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt
and, while I am pleased with the results,
I'm not sure I will participate in another one.

I love the yellow in this design.
It brings in so much light and brightens the quilt.

Normally I am not a fan of purple,
but really like it in this quilt.

It's an overcast day here, so the colors didn't pop in these outdoor photos.

It is finished and I am thrilled.
Now I will wait until it tells me where it wants to live.

Happy Friday!

beautiful quilt - Bonnie's patterns have so many pieces in them, I have never participated in her mystery's but usually like what I see when they are finished

Love the way that turned out it just sings spring. You have the right amounts of purples and yellows so it looks like a carpet of flowers at the green house rather than team colors. Well done.

Your version of En provence is just beautiful....and your quilts always lay so flat and square. It would be a shame if you didn't join in another of Bonnie's mysteries...the world would be missing another beautiful quilt.

That is a beautiful quilt. I thought of joining in, but the timing wasn't quite right. The purple looks wonderful. I really like your idea of waiting until it tells you where it wants to live - I have a similar philosophy with quilts I make that I don't think are for me and then it becomes clear who they're for.

With all that work I think it should live at your house! I'd say you did wonderful on your first mystery with fabric placement and all.
