VCU... Go Rams Go!!

It's Christmas in June!
Or at least my oldest daughters' Christmas gift is
FINALLY finished in June!

I gave her this quilt top for Christmas
and finished sewing the binding down today.

Yes... it took a long time to finish, but
I had to find a new LAQ and that wasn't easy!

This daughter LOVES, LOVES, LOVES
VCU basketball.
She has a countdown in her room to when
basketball season begins again.

This was a small number of her VCU t-shirts
and a couple of her treasured jerseys.

I used the graph paper technique to lay this quilt top out
and will use it again for t-shirt quilts.
It was a challenge, but fun to make!

She will be so excited to have it on her bed when she gets home
from work tonight!

Go Rams!

**Edit**

Since I had only two people comment for my Giveaway
from last week....
:(
It didn't take long to pick the winner.

Lara from BuzzinBumble is the winner!
Thanks Lara!

Happy Quilting!!

It's one of the nicer, least T-shirty quilts I've seen. I especially like your use of fabrics in the school colors.

My son graduated from VCU two years ago. I dare not show him your quilt because he will want one too!

T-shirt quilts are not easy to make and you did a great job balancing out all the elements Ramona! It looks more like a patchwork quilt with great graphics.

I'm so very excited to have won your giveaway of your gorgeous mini spool quilt Ramona - Thank you! I hope people who missed it go back and read your Lovely Blog Award, because it was fun to learn more about you!

I have made quite a few t-shirt/jersey quilts and this is one of the best I've seen. I love your layout.
