Quilt Camp 2023 has come and gone
and I think this was the best year yet.
We rented the same house on Keuka Lake in upstate NY
and the six of us sewed and sewed and sewed.
Here is our view while we were there:
There was not a lot of fall color and it rained the entire time
we were there.
The first thing we did was have our quilt reveal.
Do you remember the pile of HST's I was making a few months ago?
We all chose to make a quilt with
Cake Mix #3 and drew names
to see for whom we would make the quilt.
My person LOVES Halloween.
I chose the "Old Made" line of fabrics
and added purple for the background color.
Unfortunately, the fabrics didn't show that well
in the small HST's, so I added larger squares of some
of the fabric.
Here are the quilts we all made:
Irene was an over-achiever and pieced the backing, too.
:D
Holly is newer to quilting and was overwhelmed by all of the HST's.
Her design is beautiful!
It's so fun to see what we all made with the same Cake Mix.
During quilt camp I was able to finish three things and started on a fourth.
I made this little baby quilt for a friends' granddaughter.
It's "The Orla Quilt" by Kitchen Table Quilting.
Next up was more birds!
This is a table topper for a friend's kitchen table.
I was able to get it quilted and bound, too!
The third project was completing a string quilt
from the bin of reproduction fabrics I had.
For some reason I didn't get a photo of it,
but will after it's quilted.
We have already reserved the house for next year
and look forward to returning.
Happy Quilting!

Looks like a lot of fun!
What a fun week! The gift quilts are all beautiful.
A: Which one are you? and B: Can I come next year??? Retreats are the best way to get to know other quilters.
Loved the little quilt show to go with my coffee this morning, thanks for sharing!
Awesome!!! So wonderful to see all the great projects you and your group of quilty friends made! I had a retreat recently and there is always a little bit of feeling blue a few days later...not so fun to get back to chores. But no worries... a mini retreat starts in a few days.
What fun and beautiful quilts

Love all the quilts made of half square triangles, even the over achiever's. LOL. I love retreats and it is so beautiful to be by the water, my favorite thing. And to be away with friends to share time and inspiration together. And you achieved so much there with your very cute baby quilts.
The cards and envelopes are so pretty, and will definitely make your daughter happy - as well as the recipients of her thoughtfulness. What a successful retreat, with lots of great projects.
