there is A LOT more time to sew!
And sew I did!!
(Plus it was too hot and humid to do much outside.)
I bought this kit last year from
Glorious Color and actually forgot about it!
It's a Kaffe pattern made from his striped fabrics and shown in his
Quilts in Morocco book.
There is something about his stripes that I just love.
(But then I am a HUGE Kaffe fan!)
The colors are deeper and richer than the photos show here.
This top went together rather quickly.
I organized each row,
pinned the blocks together all at once and then sewed them.
I didn't need my seam ripper once!
Woohoo!!
Now to quilt it.
The book has the quilt quilted with simple wavy lines.
I can do that!
Hopefully this will be finished soon
Happy Quilting!

I like his stripes, too. Can't handle the flowers, though I'm usually impressed with what others do with them.
In the thumbnail picture, I thought it was string pieced. What great fabric! The quilt turned out fabulous and I can't wait to see your wavy lines. :)
I'm a huge fan of his too. That is gorgeous. Love the colors in this one. I think I need a hubby vacation too.
Beautiful! Love those colors.
I am often tempted by Kaffe's fabric. I love how your quilt looks, and I am impressed you didn't need to use a seam ripper, all those stripes have to go in the right direction.

Awesome....I like the weaving of the fabrics....sooooo fun!
Your quilt is stunning! I've started collecting his stripes, I've been collecting his other fabrics for years.
When I first saw your quilt I thought, what a great man/boy quilt. It is bright and yet not "flowery." That was a lot of seams coming together but it looks perfect.
What a beautiful top! I love this! I get so much done when my hubby is out of town too!
You can never go wrong with Kaffe :*). This is simply gorgeous Ramona!!! It makes me want to go pull out my stripes right this minute and make one of my own. Except I don't have enough of just his blue and green stripes to make a quilt. But if I did, I'd probably be cutting like a maniac right now LOL!!!
Stunning! I have not worked with the Kaffe stripes yet, but I do have a kit I bought that uses them! Nice job.
