I know Valentine's Day has passed,
but it is still February, so I am not too late with this!
Last week I started cutting hearts with my
Accuquilt Go! Cutter and began playing with them on my
Design Wall.
I first added Mistyfuse to the back of the fabric
and then ran it through the cutter.
Boy... does the cutter make fast work on these hearts!
After playing with them for a while,
this is what I have...
The hearts are just pinned on right now.
When I know for sure that this is the design I want,
I'll measure and make sure they are all placed evenly in the design.
These batiks are so rich in color.
I'm debating on whether or not to replace the white/pink hearts.
They seem to get lost in the design.
**Edit**
I took the white/pink hearts out and added another medium pink heart.
This looks ssoooo much better!!
Since I am snowed in today, I hope to get the hearts ironed onto the backing
and then work on borders.
The bright pinks look nice on this white, wintery day.
Happy Quilting!

What a fun design and the fabrics are beautiful. I think I would replace the white with pink hearts by slightly darker ones, maybe the same fabric as the ones facing them.
Love the hearts! Have fun working on it!
So pretty! and what a wonderful design!!!! Very talented!!! Glad I found your blog! Hope you show the completed top when you get it done.
This is lovely! Keep going!
Sweet hearts!!!!! (pun intended).... Very, very pretty!
Your last photo is the mix I prefer too. I love your design. It's different and fresh and crisp and pleasing to the eyes. I love that you changed the direction of the hearts in each quadrant. I'm really looking forward for your finished quilt!
I don't have a cutter, but now I want one just from looking at your design! I love the version after you replaced the light ones.
How beautiful Ramona!!! Hearts are not just for Valentine's Day - they are for ever and for always :*) You made the right call pulling out the light hearts and replacing them with the medium pink. It's perfect! Love my cutter too, although so far all I've cut with it are strips and hst's. Stay warm and enjoy your Snow Sew Days!
Total #CreativeGoodness. I love it.
