Several years ago I made this
Watermelon Quilt.
I loved making this one...
the colors,
the traditional pattern,
the placement of the seeds....
This quilt usually gets pulled out of the cupboard
in August.... when watermelon is the Tastiest!!
Do you see what my Long arm quilter quilted into this quilt??

I'm craving some watermelon now!

Many years ago I tried making that quilt without a pattern -- log cabin, how hard could it be? I didn't know it went light, dark, dark, light -- I started light, light .... and my white side was bigger than the dark. I was so humiliated that I couldn't even do a log cabin correctly that I gave my blocks away! Plus it didn't help that someone made fun of the pathetic blocks ....
