Waiting for Solids...

This week finds this quilt
still in progress...

I've ordered a few solid
Shot Cottons
to see which color will be used for the
Setting Triangles.
I wish I had a local shop that
carried a good selection of
Kaffe fabrics...
or maybe not??
(I'd be in there A LOT!!)

While I wait for my order to arrive,
I've been playing with some
tiny HST's left over
from a quilt I made a few years ago.
I knew I had these, but didn't remember
how many I had!

The fabric is a Minick and Simpson line
from a few years ago.

The blocks will be 4" squares when finished.

Waiting to be sewn together.

Maybe I'll call this little mini
"Half Squared Fun."

More to play with yet!
I'm running out of designs for HST's...

Happy Quilting!

Hope you find the perfect shot cotton -
I love your HST's. For design Ideas, check out Vicki Welsh's blog posts about HSTeria. She's posted several interesting EQ layouts. http://vickiwelsh.typepad.com/field_trips_in_fiber/

"Found" HST are such fun to work with! I am doing just that right now.
"Spectacular Scraps" by Judy Hooworth and Margaret Rolfe has great design ideas for HSTs.

good for you using some of those left overs half square triangles. There are a lot of blocks that can be made from those little pieces. Remember you paid the same price per yard for them as you did the full yardage!

In one of my Bee's (that is now defunct) we exchanged 10" polka dot squares. One of the ladies was very unhappy because she hates polka dots. If she could see this quilt of yours she might change her mind!

Those little half square triangles are amazing. It took me a moment or two to work out how small they are.

Both projects look great! The Dots and Stripes project is gorgeous.

Your polka dot quilt is spectacular. I love all the bright colors. Playing with HST is very addictive, I know. I have lots of left over HST too.
