Design Wall Monday

This week I was hoping to have a
completed quilt top to show
But...
This Missouri Crossing
is a frustrating block for me
to make.

I don't know if it is me
or the block
but I can't seem to get the pieces where I want them to be.
(It is me!! :D)

Lots of trimming
but they are coming together.

This isn't quite half the blocks for the top.

Slow and steady wins the race.
(I'm not a slow and steady kind of person, but sometimes....)

THEN....
Look what I found!

"Santa's Toile"

For the backing!
This is going to be a Christmas Quilt
so....
How perfect!!
(AND it was $5/yard!!)
Christmas in January...
Gotta Love it!!

Visit Judy at Patchwork Times
to be inspired.

Happy Quilting!

This is a tricky block but it is gorgeous! I LOVE this quilt. Great backing fabric too!

Just looking at the overall quilt, I would have thought the "waves" were a sashing rather than through the middle of the block. Nice to be able to see how it goes together. You're doing a great job and the backing fabric -- WOWSA!

That quilt is going to be great and I think you have found the perfect backing ... wait are you going to use for binding too?or maybe the red? I'm planning some Super Bowl Sunday fabric shopping --- let's hear it for fabric sales.
