Design Wall Monday...

This has been a slower
Sewing Week,
but...
I did manage to sew the rest of
These blocks.

I was cutting the fabric
one block at a time
and then decided to
just cut the rest all at once.

Once the color decisions were made
and the fabric cut,
Sewing is easy!

I like this pattern as a square quilt.
Plus, I don't have a lot of fabric left
to make any more blocks. :)

I did add more brown to the blocks I
made this week,
so the blocks play together better.
And, yes...
some of my saw-tooth borders are running in
different directions.
Adds character, as my mother says. :)

Now it's time to make the flying geese sashing.
This will take some time!

Visit Patchwork Times to see what else is
happening in the quilting world.

Happy Quilting!

:)

Nice blocks. And, most folks won't notice the saw tooth borders. I didn't notice until you mentioned it! And, my mom always said that moving added character. I'm the world's biggest character based on mom and the number of times we moved!

Bonnie, I have moved a lot, too, so join you in the "character" category! Thank you for your comments.

It's a fun pattern to make, but it did make me slow down a bit in my sewing.... and that's a good thing sometimes!

Thank you, Gari. I am still not seeing it as a "Christmas" quilt, but as someone mentioned before, when it's put with other red and green things, it will blend nicely.
