Bucilla Snowpeople

As you know, I love working on Bucilla felt kits.
I go in phases where I work on them for a while in the evenings.
I'm in one of those phases right now.

My daughter saw this kit last year and loved it.
The kit was ordered and I started working on it
about a month ago.

I do handwork in the evening while my husband watches tv
and I listen.

The front is finished!

Are they not the cutest?!?

We've had more than enough snow this winter,
But I still love these people.

The kit directions have us finishing this in a very strange way.
Instead of following the kits directions,
I'm going to make a small neutral quilt and stitch this to it.
It will be easier to hang this way.

This took a while to make, but was so fun and worth the effort.

Not much may be coming from my hidey hole for a while because
we are moving!
We are staying in the area, but moving to a smaller house.
Packing up a house after living here for 31 years is a JOB!!
And my hidey hole will be smaller, so I'm really having to purge.
It feels sooo good though!

Happy Quilting!
(and cleaning and sorting and purging!)
:D

Oh my I wouldn't even want to think about moving, I have to much crap, and I don't want to part with any! Good luck. The snowmen are adorable!

Deciding what to part with is such a process. Good luck, and find joy in sending things to a new home. And enjoy your new home!

I love that snowman tree! You did such a nice job on it. I do not envy the task ahead for you. We’ve been here just a bit longer and I cringe at the thought of ever moving....especially downsizing. Good luck.

I love the snowmen! I can't believe you are moving! I can't even imagine trying to pack up everything. Good luck purging and packing. I would have to get rid of a lot of stuff as we also live in a large house.

I think this is one of my favorite kits you have done. I really like the arrangement of snowmen. And I agree: spring couldn't come soon enough. I always say that about now. Our snow piles at the bottom of the driveway go all the way to my husbands chest. I can't wait to see what becomes of these snowmen. Just wonderful!

Such a cheery bunch. Best wishes with the move. The fun of finding things you probably haven’t seen since your kids were small

These are adorable; what a happy troop of jolly snowmen! You do such lovely work. Best wishes with your move; I don't envy you the task of sorting and culling but, I know, it is a good feeling to weed out what's weighing you down and get a fresh start. I hope everything with your relocation goes smoothly and without a hitch.

Adorable. How big is it? Will make a really nice wall hanging. Good luck with the move. We've been here a bit longer and I can't imagine trying to purge and pack...the amount of stuff we all accumulate is frightening. Hope you're staying well, and safe from the Covid and are able to get your shots soon.....if you've not already been able to.
