Gingerbread Cottage is Finished!

The construction project is finished!
This Gingerbread house went together pretty easily
and is ready to be given to my friend.

These Bucilla kits are so easy to make.
Just follow the directions and go in numbered order
and you will end up with a pretty nice piece.

There's one more thing I may do
and that's sew a pocket onto the back
to put the candy pieces in until it's their turn
to go on the front.  This way they will all
stay together.

I've had this kit for a number of years and am
VERY glad to have it finished!!

What can I say... I'm obsessed with these candy bag pouches!

Two bags of candy were bought for each pouch at the
Dollar Tree.

There will be more of these in my future!

I'm linking to Design Wall Monday today.

Happy Quilting!

I'm obsessed with Dollar Tree! They even carry some canned goods I can't get at my Kroger.

that is so cute - I have some red work that I was going to do when we traveled and never got around to it - I must dig it back out

I am surprised at how fast you got this GB house done since there are a gazillion small parts and sequins. Oh boy this is going to be so fun seeing how many bags you make;)

This gingerbread cottage "advent calendar" is adorable. I've saved novelty "candy" fabric with the thought of makiing a gingerbread house quilt, and this picture gives me some ideas. The amount of quilts I have on my "to make" list is extensive, but you have inspired me to work on this idea more. Thanks.

Your gingerbread cottage looks fabulous! Love the idea for the candy pocket. Of course, now I'm wishing there were some peanut M&Ms sitting in front of ME... If they were, I can tell you they would NOT survive until Advent!!
