Tie Blocks

The Tie blocks are finished!
In fact, I just finished sewing them all together.
(I have spent most of today sewing and have so enjoyed being in
my Hidey Hole today.)

There was a time when I wondered if I would ever finish these blocks
and then today.... they are done!

The blocks are paper pieced and finished at 6 inches.

Now I need to remove all of the paper from the back.
:( :( :(

Does anyone want to help?
Please??

Happy Quilting!
(and ripping!)

This turned out so gorgeous! I love how this turned out and want to do something similar in the future with some of the ties I’ve collected of my dad and my husband.

I'm sure it's even more spectacular IRL (in real life) than your pictures show. Do you really think the paper piecing was necessary? I've not worked with silk ties, so I'm not being critical, just curious in case I decide to do something like this in the future.

Yay for a flimsy!! Is it a heavy quilt? Just wondering if the ties add heft to it.

I would love to help rip paper! Can you move closer so I can come over? :) They turned out great. Stitching in the ditch would be great, to let the blocks stand for themselves.

Beautiful! Amazing job with the ties picking the paper would be a good excuse to sit in front of the tv and watch Christmas movies
