LOL! I confiscate DH's flannel shirts when the collars and cuffs become too worn and frayed to let him wear them in public anymore. Someday when I have enough I'll make him a quilt out of them. But he wears LLBean shirts, and they last forever! I only recently snagged one he wore in 1989.
