My design wall has
little blocks on it this week.
I started this project a while ago
and need to complete it!
The flowers and leaves are wool.
LOVE working with wool!
Each block will be 3x4" when
completed.

I didn't realize I have one more flower to applique!
Notice the musical notes on the background fabric?
These flowers just dance.
I am a bit intimidated by the tiny half square triangles since
I have not made any this small before.
The pattern suggests using Thangles.
I will give it a shot.
:)
Isn't this sweet?
Enjoy!

Oh My Goodness! What an adorable little quilt. Just how tiny are those half square triangles? They do make a border statement!
That is an adorable quilt. Just be really careful pressing your tiny half square triangles so they don't get out of shape. You can do it. The flowers are darling especially with the wool. Do you put wonder under or any adhesive on the wool when you put it on the backing fabric? (Hey, I think I have that fabric too! Or something very similar but mine's 10 years old.) Great work.
I have never worked with wool but your's looks great. And if you can applique like that you will have no trouble with the HSTs. Good job.
Thank you for your encouragement, Bonnie! Yes, I do use a light weight fusible under the wool. It helps to keep it from fraying. Some of the wool I use is recycled from clothing and does fray a bit. I have made only a couple of things with wool, but really enjoy working with it. Thanks!
I am pleased with how it is turning out so far. The half square triangles are 1/2"! Almost too tiny to hold on to, but I am up for the challenge. :D Thanks!
Thank you, Gari. I love to applique and really enjoyed appliqueing with the wool. I hope I can do the HST's justice!
If the triangles don't work try a strip in their place, sometimes that works just fine for a replacement.
Hugs!!!!
Your little quilt looks great. I am doing the same one, but only have 1 1/2 blocks done. Also not looking forward to the HST border either. I hope you show it when you complete.

What a lovely garden you're cultivating!
So pretty. I love working with wool too. It is so easy to work with and comes out so nice :)
Roberta, I just might do that if the HST's end up being too frustrating. Thanks!
The blocks were so much fun to make. I really enjoyed picking the wool for the flowers and leaves. I will post a picture when it is finished.
Nann, I love that comment! I may have to work that into the name of the quilt. Thanks!
Working with wool also goes more quickly! No turning or clipping. :)
Working with wool is so much fun. I love your blocks!!
Cute blocks, tiny but cute! Love the scrappy look!
Thank you, Rhonda. It fun working with wool.
Thank you! I love your name! I used to say I lived in "Podunkville." It's a great place to be!
Absolutely gorgeous blocks!
Thank you, Kate.
Very pretty little wallhanging, and your work looks lovely. Have not made anything yet with wool, but a lot of my friends rave about it too. May have to try one soon (after I finish more UFOs.) I don't envy you those tiny hst, but I save fabric as small as 1 1/2 " squares, so I know you can do it.
Thank you for your encouragement. I hope the HST's aren't too frustrating, but if they are... I can change the design a bit. That's one of the beauties of quilting.
