Back in October, I went on my annual
Quilt Camp retreat
in upstate New York.
We've rented the same house for a few years
on Keuka Lake and have a great few days of sewing.
Once again, we each made a quilt for another person
and gifted them at quilt camp.
The theme this year was "Spring".
Kathy, on the right, had my name and made me this
beautiful colorful quilt.
It's in my sun room and is used often this time of year!
I had Kathy's name and made this quilt for her.
She's a teacher, so I used a layer cake called
"Old School" and used a pattern by Cluck Cluck Sew.
(I can't remember the name and can't find it online.)
This quilt isn't really "Springy", but school is in
session on the spring. :)
While I'm happy with the end results of this quilt,
I HATED it as I was making the blocks.
Kathy was excited to get it and was going to use it
in her classroom.
While at quilt camp,
I made the blocks for "Carbonation"
by See Jamie Sew.
This is not for the faint of heart!
I used a bunch of Kaffe fabrics
(I'm on a roll with using Kaffe!)
for the circles and one of my favorite
fabrics for the background.
There are four sizes of circles in the design
and the smallest one was challenging to piece.
The top is finished and waiting to be quilted.
I love it!
Happy Quilting!
