Finished Bag

Over the weekend I had some time to sew
and finished one of the
Sew Together Bags
I started to teach my quilting buddies.

This bag is so much fun to make.
Picking the fabrics and
seeing it all come together is addicting!

For me, putting the binding on the sides is the
trickiest part. Stitching through all of the bulk
and making sure the binding is stitched down takes patience.

And then you end up with this!

How fun is that??

In addition to the secret wedding quilt I am making,
another wedding gift is needed by the end of  this month!

You know what that means.....
Christmas Tree Skirt time!

I am using a new pattern for this one.
Hopefully it will be a finished top by the end of the week.

Happy Quilting!

That is fabulous. I love the oranges. The binding does look tricky. Looking forward to seeing the newest tree skirt.

I saw one of the bags at guild before Christmas. They are really handy looking.

My mother's favourite colour is orange, I thought it was an odd choice but these days I am loving it more and more.

I love your little orange bag. I wish I had the time and patience to try to make one. I'm also interested in seeing what your Christmas tree skirt will look like. That is a nice gift for a newly married couple.

What a great tree skirt! I really like your selection of paisley background:
adds just enough color without overwhelming your wonderful assortment of prints.
And your bag...it looks so labor intensive. Hats off to you!
