Sew Together Bag #3

Don't ever make one of these bags!
I'm warning you...
if you make one, you will be making a dozen.
You will want to make one for every person you know.
Okay... maybe not the men you know,
but every woman you know.

A while ago I made two of the Sew Together Bags
and gave both of those to friends.
I wanted one for myself, though,
so pulled the fabrics and finished this last night.

The possibilities for the outside of these bags are endless.

I had wanted to try the straight line quilting with different threads
and this was the perfect project for it.
It's hard to see the different threads in the photo,
but I used a metallic thread, lime green, aqua, teal and turquoise.
(Thanks, Lara! She gave me the idea for this type of quilting.)

The inside fabrics of this one blend more than the other two I made.

Don't be intimidated by the zippers.
Here is a wonderful tutorial for making this bag.
It is loaded with photos and great directions.

I already have the fabric pulled for the next bag.
Christmas isn't too far away!

If you take the plunge,
don't say I didn't warn you!

Happy Quilting!

I've seen many of these and have thought about making at least one for myself. You assure me it's doable ...?

I've made 4 of them now and have the fabric and zippers all pulled together for 2 more. You're right - they are addictive. I've gifted 2 of the bags and plan to mail another one this week as a birthday gift.

Your quilting is definitely fun and gives the bag some real texture.

Wow guess I should have waited to buy the pattern. I made it and you are right, am making many more but am altering the pattern to make a bigger purse for me.

Beautiful Ramona!!! I've made quite a few of the Bionic Gear Bags which are similar, so I know how much work that is. Great job!!!

This looks like what I've been looking for to carry all my glasses/contact lens stuff. Just started wearing contacts again, and need to carry drops, and extra lenses and glasses and readers and sunglasses! But it's worth it to feel close to feminine once in a while! Thanks for the pattern link!
