Finished Bucilla Kit

A few years ago I went on a Bucilla Stocking kit kick
and made a number of the felt stockings.
The Bucilla kits are so cute and relatively easy to make.
As long as one goes in the order in the directions,
they go together easily.

Then I started knitting lots of socks.
Last week I was rummaging through something
and found a kit I had started at least a year ago and never finished.
The knitting needles were put aside and work continued on this kit.

Today I have a finish!

This Bucilla kit is newer design
and will hang on a wall or door.

The directions call for putting poster board inside the various pieces,
but I used batting instead.
It won't crease if it gets bent and will hold its shape nicely.

The pieces are very well numbered and the directions
go step by step by number throughout.

As long as the pieces are cut carefully,
things go together nicely.

This will be a nice addition to my Christmas decorations,
unless I decide to gift it to someone.

I think I'm going to begin another kit next.
Which one shall I do??
(I have several from which to choose!)

I'm linking to Design Wall Monday today.

Happy Quilting!

"As long as ..." Do I sense the "voice of experience" here? So pretty, as usual.

Very cute! What method do you use to transfer pattern to felt? I remember the stockings you did, you really cranked them out! What other kits do you have?

This is a cute one! I've done a couple of Bucilla kits years ago, and always was tempted to keep buying them.

Look at you, knocking these projects out like a champ! It's great to have a stash of things to do. ;) Can't wait to see what you choose next.

That is beautiful. I think I have the same kit in different colors. I love your blues and browns. I may have to get mine out and start it. Thanks for the idea of the batting rather than the cardboard. I agree that will make it more flexible.

Haven't tackled any of the wreath kits. I've had people ask me questions about their construction...especially putting cardboard in the center. Love your idea to use quilt batting. I am getting close to finishing my latest stocking but I know what kit is next for me...the companion ornament kits.

So very cute! Nicely done. I haven't done a kit since college. Love all the details of Bethlehem and such great needlework: so even and precise!

You did a beautiful job on the kit. And I agree, the batting is better than cardboard. Good idea. I am in the middle of knitting four Christmas stockings, and it has been a nice change of pace for me from quilting. Thanks for linking with Design Wall Monday, Judy

You amaze me with these kits! I found the one I started difficult, I am not sure why! I need to get it back out. Yours is beautiful!
