Not Quilting!

Since I returned home from Quilt Camp,
my sewing machine has been very quiet.
My Cricut, however, has been very busy!!

My daughter, Doodlebug, LOVES to send
birthday cards and notes to people.
If she knows you, chances are you get a card from her.

I decided to make her a bunch of cards
for a Christmas gift this year and am
VERY glad I did this early.

Here is a sample of the 90 cards I made.

How long do you think these 90 cards will last?
I think she single-handedly keeps the post office in business.

I even decorated the envelopes with dot markers.

Here is the box of the 90 cards.
I may add some Anniversary cards to the box, too.
We shall see if I feel like making more.

Happy Creating!

Quilt Camp 2023

Quilt Camp 2023 has come and gone
and I think this was the best year yet.

We rented the same house on Keuka Lake in upstate NY
and the six of us sewed and sewed and sewed.

Here is our view while we were there:

There was not a lot of fall color and it rained the entire time
we were there.

The first thing we did was have our quilt reveal.
Do you remember the pile of HST's I was making a few months ago?
We all chose to make a quilt with
Cake Mix #3 and drew names
to see for whom we would make the quilt.

My person LOVES Halloween.
I chose the "Old Made" line of fabrics
and added purple for the background color.
Unfortunately, the fabrics didn't show that well
in the small HST's, so I added larger squares of some
of the fabric.

Here are the quilts we all made:

Irene was an over-achiever and pieced the backing, too.
:D

Holly is newer to quilting and was overwhelmed by all of the HST's.
Her design is beautiful!

It's so fun to see what we all made with the same Cake Mix.

During quilt camp I was able to finish three things and started on a fourth.

I made this little baby quilt for a friends' granddaughter.
It's "The Orla Quilt" by Kitchen Table Quilting.

Next up was more birds!
This is a table topper for a friend's kitchen table.
I was able to get it quilted and bound, too!

The third project was completing a string quilt
from the bin of reproduction fabrics I had.
For some reason I didn't get a photo of it,
but will after it's quilted.

We have already reserved the house for next year
and look forward to returning.

Happy Quilting!
