It's been a very long time since I've made a
One Block Wonder quilt.
When I saw this fabric, I immediately wanted
to make another one.
The pieces were cut and were waiting for me to put them together.
With all that has been going on here,
this was a good project for me to work on
when I had snippets of time.
I could go in and sew for a few minutes
in between doing things for my husband.
Eventually all of the blocks were sewn into
half hexagons and then arranged on the wall.
The border fabric is what the hexagons are made from
for this quilt.
As I was sewing the rows together,
I found three blocks with pieces placed the wrong way.
I started to take them apart and put them right,
but then decided to leave them as they were.
These last few months have been
chaotic and difficult.
These three blocks show that even in the chaos and hard times
there is still beauty in life.
This one is ready to send to my long arm quilter.

I've never made a one-block wonder. I did do something similar, but I cut the pieces in quarters - I think I didn't have enough fabric to repeat the patterns 6 times. One would never tell that any pieces are amiss...unless they stared at the quilt until they were cross-eyed! Nice going!
Great fabric for a OBW! I pulled out a kit already cut yesterday. I think it will be my next project.
This one is a beauty. Of course I love floral fabric and this method created so many new flowers. As busy as the design is, a viewer would have a hard time deciding if anything was sewn wrong.
Your OBW quilt is beautiful, Ramona! So many flowers to look at. No one will notice the small mistakes.
Wow, what a perfect fabric for the OBW technique! Your quilt is spectacular and I still can't figure out what's wrong with the 3 blocks. Glad you left them in!
Amazing! I have never done a OBW, never had the desire but I sure love seeing ones others have made. They look so complicated. Hope things are looking better for your hubby.
Amazing only 3 turned triangles that’s seems really good! My friend Bev would say no baby is going to cry over that. It is beautiful I wish I could see what a yard of the fabric looked like before it was cut. I don’t know why my name doesn’t pop up any more
