A New Quilt

This past week I started a new quilt!
This one is not from my UFO or kit cabinet,
but is being made of fabrics pulled from my stash.

Last year at Quilt Camp we all decided to make the same
pattern with our choice of fabrics
and these quilts will be used on our beds while at quilt camp.

The pattern we are using is
"Lucky Stars" by Atkinson Designs.

I have wanted to make this quilt for some time
using Kaffe, Batiks and Polka Dots....
my three favorite things in fabric!

This is going together quickly and I love the blocks.

Most of the batik and polka dot star centers are pieced.
I'm waiting on more of the polka dot fabric.

I've gone through my Kaffe scraps and pulled
pieces that are large enough to cut into the strips needed.

I had to make one block to give me inspiration!

This is going to be one happy quilt!

It's going to be sew YOU! Whittle's has that dot fabric if you have trouble finding more.

Wow love it so bright and happy. I can hear a cardinal singing. That’s how it makes me feel. I need to put my plaids away and find some fun fabrics like yours. Beginning to feel like spring here.

A very happy quilt for sure. Love all the colors, so bright and cheery. Quilt camp, sounds like fun. I think I would like a knitting and or crochet camp.

I love that pattern so much that I bought it twice, but I still haven't made it. I look forward to living vicariously through you - I love your fabrics.

I agree with everything already said here in the comments! This is going to be "sew" very pretty. Honestly, I can't see polka dot fabrics without thinking of you, Ramona! What a great combination. I'm thinking of doing something similar, without the dots...lol (Lord knows it won't be the first time I've used your creativity for inspiration!!!). Thanks for posting this happy, happy project. Blessings from a spring-like WV.

I love the background fabric. Can you share what it is?
