Back in the winter I participated in an
Irish Chain quilt along.
I have to say....
I loved making this quilt!
Out came my box of red fabrics I had collected to make another
quilt that I did not enjoy making, so stopped.
The Irish Chain is ready to be dropped off at my LAQ tomorrow!
This is a queen size quilt and will go on my bed once it's finished.
The subtle changes in color with the scrappy reds makes it sparkle, I think.
The backing is wild! No photos of that yet,
but I put several pieces of reds together,
along with the quilt parts I started originally with these red fabrics.
I'm using what I have here!
Happy Quilting!
Be safe and be well.

Your Irish Chain quilt top is gorgeous, Ramona. How fabulous to make it all from fabric in your stash. I look forward to seeing the quilting pattern and the backing fabric as well. I can just imagine how beautiful this quilt is going to be all finished and on your bed.
I have always loved the Irish Chain pattern - the red is great.
Love, love, LOVE! Simple is best. The subtle variation in the reds adds a lot of movement.
Fabulous! I love that your reds are scrappy, gives it so much interest. Can't wait to see it quilted!
Beautiful. It's hard to beat the elegant look of a red and white quilt.
I think it looks really nice. Can't wait to see how it looks quilted, bound and on your bed. I have been sewing like crazy the past few weeks. So far I have 2 pants, a top, and two quilt tops finished. I am a longarm quilter but my machine is not in quarantine with me so I am going into withdrawl.
You are like me - I love those white polka dots on white fabric! I use it a lot! Love all your projects you post.
Your Irish Chain is so much more interesting with a mix of red fabrics than it would be with all the same red. Can't wait to see how you're having it quilted!
I think you should name it lady in red. It's so pretty now but can't wait to see how your quilter adds to it.
Love Irish Chains! This one will be stunning.
