Little Time for Sewing

It's been a crazy couple of weeks here,
but I am here.
Not much sewing is going on in my Hidey Hole,
but my yard looks good!
Now if we could just get outside and enjoy it.
The rain storms have been unbelievable.

I don't have a lot to show, but wanted to
hop in and say all is well.

Here are some more socks I've made!

These are all children's socks,
made from leftover yarn I had.
They knit up so quickly!

This quilt was started a couple of weeks ago
and is still hanging on my design wall.

It is not an attractive quilt by any means,
but is made with denim and  pieces from colored jeans.
My brother and SIL sent me two boxes of colored jeans
a couple of years ago to use in quilts.
This quilt will go back to them to use outside with their grands.
They won't have to worry about being gentle with this one at all.
What did they call these?
Utilitarian quilts?

I hope you all are doing well and getting into the summer mode.

Happy Quilting!

I understand the busy times!!!! Glad that you have a portable project of socks to keep your hands busy. The socks look so cute too.

What fun colors of denim! I'll bet that is going to be a heavy quilt too. Will you add batting to it or just a backing? It will be great for kids to romp and play.

Long ago, in a faraway land -- well, Georgia -- I started a denim crazy quilt with my boys' jeans using a cotton sheet as the foundation. Talk about heavy! I keep intending to finish it ... someday ...

So many beautiful combinations of colors for your socks.
I am impressed with your knitting. I have not even tried to do socks.

I like your "utilitarian" jean quilt. I can't believe you have so many colors.
It would make a good "picnic" blanket or one to keep in the back of a car or even a donation quilt.

Such fun yarns for the socks!!! and great quilt and use of old clothes. I have a couple boxes of hubby fat clothes that I intend to use like that for quilts for his nieces and nephew but so much other fabric to go through .
thanks for asking about the quilt design I'm working on a post to explain it

I am glad you are not sitting around idle! The gray striped sock are you changing colors or that was the yarn self stripping?
