Meet "Noel"

A good friend of mine
LOVES sock monkeys
and has for years...
long before sock monkeys were everywhere.

Last year I found this kit for "Noel"....
a Christmas sock monkey
and knew I had to make her for this friend.

Here she is, all dressed in her Christmas finery!

I have to say...
I don't really enjoy making these,
but my friend will love it.
Getting these long, skinny tubes stuffed is a challenge!
She will be given soon, so my friend can enjoy her this Christmas.

My knitting needles have been busy lately.

One pair of socks are done and ready for gifting.

This pair will be given to my daughters' piano teacher for Christmas.

I made this sock, not realizing that I had only one skein of this yarn.
The second skein has been shipped!

In the mean time, I started another sock with a similar yarn.

I do have another skein of this yarn, so I can make a pair.

:)

Happy Friday and Happy Creating!!

She doesn't look like my son Noel at all! She's cute, though. I would never even attempt to make one.

Your friend will love the super cute monkey!! I do know how hard it is to stuff those small long legs-I have in the past made several dolls with the long legs and arms, takes time!
Love the socks too ;-)

You are so sweet to make that sock monkey for your friend Ramona. It turned out very cute. And way to go on those beautiful socks too! I hope you are managing okay with all the extra work that needs to be done at Christmastime.
