I am so drawn to the bright, bold colors,
especially if they are polka dots and geometric shapes.
They make such fun and happy baby quilts.
My quilting buddies have asked me to teach them
how to make the cathedral window quilt.
I tell you, they have jumped in with both feet.
Out came these fun fabrics and the cutting began.
I laid the polka dot squares out for the background first,
then added the primary solid square,
pressed in half.
The fun part was putting the "wild" squares
on top of the solid sections.
My husband said this will sure keep the baby awake!
I told him not all of my quilts are for sleeping.
The first two rows are sewn together
but not ironed yet.
This will be made in varying stages
so I can show my buddies how to make it.
This quilt is a bit fiddley,
but so fun to make.
Happy Quilting

I LOVE the bright colors - especially for a child's quilt. Cathedral Windows is such a great pattern. I look forward to seeing it finished.
