My sewing machine has returned!
All tuned, oiled and cleaned... ready for action.
So,
I had to take it for a test drive!
The blocks for this baby quilt have been stitched together
and the top is waiting to be quilted.
This one will be donated to the
Baby quilt closet at my church.

My sewing machine wasn't needed to complete this block.
It's number four of my new applique project.
This project is coming together!

Happy Day! We're lost without our machines, aren't we? I have a friend who doesn't even own a machine, pieces everything by hand and wins Best of Show every time :) Not me!!! That will be an adorable baby quilt, loved and cherished for many, many years I am sure. And you are off and RUNNING on those applique blocks, aren't you? Wow!!! They're gorgeous!
What a sweet baby quilt! It looks so soft and cuddly. Love your applique blocks. They are gorgeous!
My machine that I use for quilting has been gone 3 months now. 6 weeks at the dealer where they tried every trick and new part. Then sent to the company where they did the same with no luck. Now I'm waiting for the new replacement machine. It's hard to be patient! My back up machines are getting some well deserved attention.
#4 is a s gorgeous as #1-3!!! I love the HST quilt too. It's a great design.
Wow, you are moving right along with the appliqué. I looks wonderful.
The baby quilt is very sweet. A good use of a test drive!

Yay on getting the machine back! The baby quilt is adorable and I love your applique blocks!
I like your applique blocks. Both the design and fabrics you are using.
Oh yummy baby quilt, it's so fresh, love it! And those applique blocks wow-only in my dreams will I be doing it, so I will admire yours :-)
Thank-you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I'm glad you did, because the trail led me back to your blog. Love all the ideas you are sharing. The baby quilt with the offset design is out of the box thinking to me. Like it. I see you tried the applique process with starch. Just saw that on You-tube last night. I like your use of the paint brush better than a fancy tool. I just may give that method a whirl. I will be back to visit. :)
Love the baby quilt. Your applique blocks are gorgeous.
