After several days of quilting feathers,
the binding was sewn on today
and
Sea Glass if finished!
These colors are my favorites...
colors of the sea.
I have a loooonnnggg way to go with the feather quilting,
but it's better.
I need to really work on keeping the fronds even,
both in width and length.
This quilt is going to hang in my house for a while
and then may find a home as a baby quilt.
I need to go to the beach and find some real sea glass!
It's one thing I have not had luck with.. finding sea glass....
but I have quilted sea glass instead.
:)
Happy Quilting!
Nice job!
ReplyDeleteLove the feathers! You've done a lovely job on the quilting.
ReplyDeleteThat turned out gorgeous!,,! Feathers like leaves are never identical. Looks great
ReplyDeleteCongrats on yet another finish! I LOVE your feathers! Sometimes we are our own worst critics! Sea Glass is perfect!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt and your feathers look perfect to me!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful Ramona!!!! You did a wonderful job! I love those colors too 😎
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the finish and it turned out just super duper! I think your feathers are looking mighty good. If you purposely make different size feathers you won't have to worry about them being uniform.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Sea Glass is gorgeous and made with my favorite colors too. Your quilting is spot on no matter what you say.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful! I love the colors in this one. Great job, Ramona, on the quilting too.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is just soooo beautiful Ramona! The colors, pattern, and quilting are all wonderful. I love your feathers.
ReplyDeleteSome beaches just don't produce as much sea glass, so that might be why you haven't had much luck. It depends on the strength of the waves and on whether any glass has been dumped nearby.
oh My! Sea Glass is a beautiful finish! Your feathers look amazing!
