Checkered Red Finish

There is something about the simplicity of
Nine patch and Sixteen patch blocks
that just speaks to me.

Making the blocks is so calming...
no thinking~~just sew.
Sew and play with the fabric placement.

My "Checkered Red" quilt is finished.

This ended up being 48" square,
made from 2" squares of a lot of red and pink fabrics.

I'll use this on my table or as a little picnic quilt.
Or maybe it will be given to someone special.

I think I see more of these simple quilts in my future!

Happy Quilting!

I almost forgot!!
I have a sock finish today, too!

I was taking my daughter to an activity and forgot to bring something to
work on while I waited for her. There was no way I was going to
sit there with nothing to do.
So.. a quick trip into Hobby Lobby and
out I came with this yarn and a set of needles.
Love this yarn!!

Happy Friday!

:)

  3. For a simple design it is very effective. You must have collected a lot of fabrics. I love the socks, so fun. I can knit but socks are beyond me.

  7. Lovely, summery quilt Ramona! Actually, it will look beautiful for any season.
You have everything all leafed out and green and that makes a very pretty backdrop!
    Very cute sock too. :)
