I had this quilt on my
Design Wall
back in October.
Then Christmas sewing got in the way.
It's time to get this finished and checked off of my list.
Half of the blocks are finished and on the design wall.
The blocks will be rearranged as I finish the rest of them.
This pattern is "Mailbox" by Laundry Basket Quilts.
I love polka dots!!
(The red isn't as bright as it looks in the photos.)
The rest of the pieces are cut,
some parts are stitched together
and in the process of becoming blocks.
Hopefully by the end of the week the blocks will be finished.

Happy Quilting!
Do you have a list? I do, but I will admit that a few quilts aren't on it.
ReplyDeleteA few years ago we did a swap of 10" squares of polka dots. One of the ladies in the group was very disgruntled because she does't like polka dots. I doubt even seeing a lovely quilt like yours would have inspired her.
I should look at my list and try to finish a few quilts.

GREAT block/quilt. And, of course the polka dots are fabulous, darrrrlingk! Looking forward to seeing them become a top and then a quilt.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done! Your fabric selections really make the quilt.
ReplyDeleteThe solids seem to float in the air...cool effect...is it just me?
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have seen this pattern before...it is striking. I had to google it and see Edyta's version. It is amazing how different yours looks with the dots.
