This past week was spent at the
Beach!!
The weather was perfect and
being with my family was just wonderful.
While there,
I did some hand work.
(I threatened to take my sewing machine,
but there would have been a revolt!)
One thing I finished is the stitching on my
Classic Santas.
(Pattern by Sue Garman.)
I am so happy that I made these from wool.
The wool gives them such warmth and texture.
These two guys are my favorites~
I have to say... I've never seen a Santa with dark hair before.
I found the fabric for sashing....
a red paisley with blue, green and gold....
Each block needs to be trimmed down
and then the sashing and cornerstones will be added.
Once the top is assembled,
I'll give the name and origin of each Santa.
Please visit Patchwork Times to see
what others are creating.
Happy Quilting!
Those are terrific Santas. That will make a wonderful quilt.
ReplyDeleteI should try this. My son is a classic Santa fan -- his name is Noel . No, not born on Christmas, named after a grandfather.
