A Problem...

I am at a loss as to what to do about this problem
I am having with people following me on blogger.
Somehow, and I have no idea how,
porn sites and the like follow me on blogger
and then people can access their sites through mine.
My page views have increased tremendously
and I wish they were all looking at my blog!
My followers up close to 200 and I bet less than 100 are legit.

I have looked to see if I can block this from happening
and there doesn't seem to be a way to do this.
It drives me crazy to think that people are able to do this
through my quilting blog!

Does anyone else have this problem?
GRRRRR!!!

Here's a photo of the lower falls at Yellowstone
so this isn't just a text post.

  1. Yes, I have the same problem. Since there is nothing I can do about it, I will pay no attention to it :-) Stay safe and try to be sane, Ramona.

  2. I don't pay attention to the number of my followers (though maybe I should). I sometimes have comments that obviously have no relations to the content and I delete them permanently.

  3. Ramona, can you explain where you're seeing this data? Are you talking about referring URLs? There's a good explanation to that one on the Google support page here: https://support.google.com/blogger/thread/23083784?hl=en. If you're talking about the same thing that person was describing, then I don't think your blog is being used to connect people with porn. They might just be trying to get YOU to click on the link to see "Hmm, who is this new follower?"

  4. I’ve been having a problem with advertisements for “luxury goods” in the comments on my blog. There is always a link to follow of course. These are always posted to old blog posts - sometimes 4 or 5 years old. But the comments show up in my email so i just go in and delete the comments. Annoying.

  5. Sorry I’m no help with this tech problem. Thanks for commenting on my blog I did not know about the stamps on the fabrics. I’m still thinking on how to use those fabrics and a border on the first indigo quilt. You give me more to think about.
Stay safe and busy at home
