Baby Quilt Progress

This morning I finished marking the rest of the border
so I can finish quilting this
Pastel Baby Quilt.
(This quilt needs a name!)

I worked on this for quite a while on Saturday and ended up
having to use my seam ripper A LOT!!
Ugh!

Hopefully, this last part will go smoothly and I will
be able to get the binding sewn on and finish it.

I don't know what I'm going to have to do
to get a photo with the true colors in this quilt.
They are very pale and soft,
so maybe that's the problem.

The quilting in the blocks went quickly and smoothly.

This backing fabric is so much fun!
I love flamingos.

This quilt will have a scalloped edge and I used
this ruler to mark it.
It worked really well!

I'm very late to the Amaryllis show this year,
but this beautiful bloom gets to shine all by itself.
The poinsettia's are long gone from my house.

I'm linking to Design Wall Monday today.

Happy Quilting!

  4. I adore this baby quilt! I am not normally a pastel person, but this is beautiful and your quilting adds so much. It will be fun to see with the scalloped edges finished. What a great gift. I love your amaryllis too.

  7. I'd call it Baby's Breath.
Such a sweet, darling, delicate-looking quilt. I am sure it will be loved and appreciated, whatever name you choose.
