Last year I started making blocks using some blue batiks
and the Canyon Dance templates.
A baby quilt was made from a little over half of the blocks,
so I had a bunch left to use.
A few more blocks were made
and another baby quilt came from these blocks.
This pattern is addictive!
As soon as I finished quilting this,
I have the urge to make another one.
It's a good thing, too, as my daughter has asked for a
queen size Canyon Dance for her guest bed.
This one will be put away and wait for a baby to whom to gift it.
Happy Quilting!
Love the blues of this quilt! And the design is so neat. I was actually thinking about this quilt yesterday before you posted it. ( I had remembered it from earlier in the year and your end of the year wrap up reminded me. ) I would like to use the design or something similar for my sister. But I would like to make it on a smaller scale.
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful your daughter wants one and a plus for you that you like making it! What color did she request?
ReplyDeleteI like the design. So, how hard were the curves?
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful in the various blues. Wow!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous you just can’t go wrong with blue batiks
ReplyDeleteAfter you did the first blue one I have been adding to my blue collection to make a Canyon Dance. It is such a fun pattern! It's not on my list of projects to do though, but I won't let that stop me when I get the urge! Yours is beautiful and how exciting your daughter wants a quilt!
ReplyDeleteI love this design and the baby quilt is just beautiful too. I'll be looking to see your daughter's finish soon!!
ReplyDeleteYour choice of colors make this quilt. Great job always enjoy the blog.
ReplyDeleteIt is addictive....I've made so many I've forgotten out many. I love it. My husband made me templates that work great.
