Last night I put the finishing stitches in the
Christmas Tree skirt for my nephew's wedding gift.
Yay!! I have a finish and a completed goal!
The sun was so bright when I took this photo on my deck
that the colors aren't as sharp as they are in person.
This pattern is the "Joyful Jelly Roll Tree Skirt"
from the Fat Quarter Shop
and can be found here.
The tree skirt went together very easily,
although there was a lot of waste,
especially in making the squares.
If I make this one again,
I'll string piece the squares.
I found the fabric for the back on sale.
I love this piece.
Now I just need to put a label on it, wrap it,
and wait for the wedding at the end of the month.

Yes, "we" were right about changing the white fabric. I saw the sample on FQS website and yours is even prettier. I think you should send them a photo of your skirt! Just lovely...as usual....I've started to use "Ramona" as an adjective synomymous with pretty/lovely/beautiful/well-made. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Ramona. It will be a lovely gift.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tree skirt Ramona! Gosh, I forgot all about this.......I have mine all pinned and ready to quilt.....better dig it out. Thanks for sharing!
