Lazy Daisy

Can I just say that I LOVE this Lazy Daisy fabric!!
I look at this fabric and can't help but smile.
When I see it, I can feel the sunshine on my face
and the breeze blowing around me.

It just screams summer and happy.

These fabrics are so soft and cuddly.
I might have to get a piece of minky to put on the back.
I've never worked with minky before, so
there is always a first time.

This may not leave my house!

I realized yesterday that I do not have a quilt being pieced right now.
How did this happen??

Into my cabinet I went and pulled out two charm packs I had
gotten last year to make a Disappearing 4 Patch.

The squares were stitched into the 4 patches....

and the cutting began.
Do you know what tool helps the most in making this quilt?

A spinning cutting mat!

It makes the cutting of the sections SOOO much easier!

Happy Quilting!

  1. I really like the daisy quilt and your new disappearing 4-patch. I've done a disappearing pinwheel, hourglass, and 9-patch, but haven't tried it yet with the 4-patch. Your pictures make me want to go do that. But no sewing for me today as we're headed to one of our daughter's for the day.

  2. OMG, your Lazy Daisy quilt is so cute! You're right about it being so fresh and summery.
I love my spinning cutting mat. WIsh I had had the large one when I was making all the quilts for Cut and Shuffle Quilts. It makes slice-and-dice blocks so much easier. Have fun with your D4P!

  3. What a happy quilt! Daisies are my favorite flower. I think I even had some put in my wedding bouquet. Maybe because I was on a budget ...
