I've been absent for the past week
because I was in NYC
watching the
A10 Basketball Championship.
Oh what fun it was!
My Rams did well, but did not win the
Championship game.
It's all good, though, because VCU is going to the Tournie!!
As my daughter says,
"It's the MOST wonderful time of the year!"
I have been asked to make a
VCU T-shirt quilt for an auction to benefit
the Student-athletes at VCU.
Out came the shirts and the cutting began.
I am still playing with the placement of the shirts
and will then start adding borders and sashing.
I added a stabilizer to the back of the shirts
and then cut them in even increments.
I use graph paper to help with the cutting of the
sashing and placement of the shirts.
This will be fun to work on while listening
or watching basketball.
My bracket is almost filled out.
:)
Happy Quilting!!
I'll root for VCU as long as they're not playing an SEC team or my alma-mammy, MTSU. Vandy plays tonight.
ReplyDeletePS: Hope the T shirt quilt goes well and sells for big bucks!
What a great fundraiser t-shirt quilt. I look forward to seeing the finished product. I enjoy the challenge of putting t-shirt quilts together.
ReplyDeleteGreat T-shirts for a quilt. I will be cheering on my Jackrabbits from South Dakota State University on Friday. And for the Jackrabbit women on Saturday but will have to just watch it on TV.
ReplyDeleteJust catching up here....those blocks will make up so beautifully for an auction quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love those spring green socks you are working on.
That's pretty awesome that you are making a quilt to help out the athletes! I am positive it will bring in some wonderful $.
