This weekend my goal was to finish sewing the
Friendship Star blocks together with the
Wool applique in the center of the blocks.
I had four more to make and they are finished!!
Yay! for a rainy Saturday!!
I have twelve of these blocks and I'm thinking of making
three quilts with four blocks each.
I don't need another large Christmas Quilt
and this way I can share my creations with others.
:)
I love this whimsical basket.
Lesson learned....
Make sure the block being used as the pattern is
made CORRECTLY!!
Yep... I made four blocks like this!!
Pay attention, Ramona!!
I have added another finished block to my
Red, White and Blue applique project.
This is the last block I had prepped, so time to prep a few more....
Using the starch method to prep the blocks does allow for much faster
stitching of the blocks.
Six done... six more to stitch!
Happy Quilting!
You must have had more rain than us! It looks like you put your time to good use.
ReplyDeleteI can understand about not needing another large Christmas quilt, and how sweet to share your beautiful work.
I'm amazed at how fast your appliqué blocks are coming together. They look fabulous.
Helen
Both of your projects are so beautiful! I love the Christmasy friendship stars with wool applique, and the RWB applique blocks are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYour work is just beautiful. Those basket blocks are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteThe star/basket blocks in sets of four would make very nice gifts. Good idea since you say you don't need more large Christmas quilts. Would take care of some of your Christmas gift giving.
ReplyDeleteRamona I am just in LOVE with your RWB applique blocks! They are perfect :*)
ReplyDeleteYou continue to amaze me. Your blocks are all so lovely.
ReplyDeleteLoving those applique blocks! And those Christmas blocks are coming along beautifully!
ReplyDeleteI love both the Christmas blocks and the applique blocks so much. Fabulous work and what a great idea to make the 4 smaller quilts. I wish I could tell myself something like that. Next year my goal is to quilt my 25 tops and gift most of them!
ReplyDeleteYour gorgeous quilts are enough to make me want to figure out where in the world I can schedule some applique time. I like them both, and your colors are super. The basket one is amazing, and the other one is so appealing, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful work and blocks! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree your baskets are fun! But your applique is just wonderful....love the dotted background!
ReplyDeleteI like your friendship star blocks. They will make beautiful gifts. It's easy to make mistakes with this kind of geometric patterns when you're mind is wandering while sewing... lol
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric you chose for you Red, White and Blue appliqué project. What a beautiful mix of colors! Your last block is very well done... symmetrical... near to perfection. :-)
All your blogs are absolutely beautiful. Lovely designs, fabrics, colors. Going to make a stunning quilt. Total #CreativeGoodness
