It's Christmas in June!
Or at least my oldest daughters' Christmas gift is
FINALLY finished in June!
I gave her this quilt top for Christmas
and finished sewing the binding down today.
Yes... it took a long time to finish, but
I had to find a new LAQ and that wasn't easy!
This daughter LOVES, LOVES, LOVES
VCU basketball.
She has a countdown in her room to when
basketball season begins again.
This was a small number of her VCU t-shirts
and a couple of her treasured jerseys.
I used the graph paper technique to lay this quilt top out
and will use it again for t-shirt quilts.
It was a challenge, but fun to make!
She will be so excited to have it on her bed when she gets home
from work tonight!
Go Rams!

Happy Quilting!!
It's one of the nicer, least T-shirty quilts I've seen. I especially like your use of fabrics in the school colors.
ReplyDeleteLibby totally took the words out of my mouth.....or should I say keyboard!!! Excellent!
ReplyDeleteMy son graduated from VCU two years ago. I dare not show him your quilt because he will want one too!
ReplyDeleteT-shirt quilts are not easy to make and you did a great job balancing out all the elements Ramona! It looks more like a patchwork quilt with great graphics.
ReplyDeleteI'm so very excited to have won your giveaway of your gorgeous mini spool quilt Ramona - Thank you! I hope people who missed it go back and read your Lovely Blog Award, because it was fun to learn more about you!
GREAT job on this T-quilt!!
ReplyDeleteI have made quite a few t-shirt/jersey quilts and this is one of the best I've seen. I love your layout.
