Finishes

Friday Finishes

This week I emptied two more
bags with unfinished projects.
YAY!!

I always have a pair of socks being knitted
(is this correct grammar?)
so I have something to grab and work on
while waiting in the car or wherever.

Today I have two pair of finished socks to share.

This pair is for little feet.
Oh, I really wish I knew what yarn this is...
I love it!

I think this is the first pair of socks that I have been able
to match the stripes.  They are a little off, but who's going to notice?

I did have to start another pair of socks,
even though I said there would be no new starts until
my goals were met.
I HAVE to have a portable project, right?!?!

I have a niece who LOVES pink and black zebra stripes.
This yarn was on sale, so how could I not buy it??

I hope my sister doesn't tell!!

Yesterday I made the next two blocks for the Gravity BOM.

I don't remember if these are May or June blocks,
but I've made what I have.

Below are all of the blocks I've made so far.

This BOM isn't my favorite, but I am learning new things
and using new rulers, so it's all good!
:)

Please visit Patchwork Times to see what others are creating this week.

Happy Friday!

  1. I always have a pair of socks on my needles too Ramona! I agree that it is the best thing to have handy for carrying along and keeping busy :) Congrats on the two finishes - woohoo!!!! Love that new yarn!

I was really drawn to Gravity when I first saw it come out last year - I still am actually. It's such a beauty, a visual delight! But I just didn't have room for it in my schedule this year. I'm hoping to maybe make one later on. I'll enjoy seeing yours come to life in the meantime :)

  3. The socks are gorgeous! I really would like to take up sock knitting but I have two other knitting projects in the works and I really want to finish them first. That would actually require me working on them though and I don't seem to do that!

  6. I love your latest gravity blocks, great colors! Those socks are so wonderful. You make me want to learn to knit. They look so hard to make, the yarn in the first pair is awesome.

  8. That is something I have never knitted either, socks. I've knitted pretty much everything else, except underwear, lol! I love love your striped ones, reminds me of the toe socks I had in my teens and which were all the rage in the second half of the 70s, and came back in the 90s! I really love the Gravity quilt, but haven't made one, need to finish up a few (cough) other projects...Lara sent me here! :-) You and I are scarily alike in the passions dept; I have 2 daughters too!
