Hearts, hearts and more hearts

On my Design Wall today is the
completed Hearts top
I was working on a few weeks ago.

The borders have been added and the backing is pieced.

I cut the hearts with my
Accuquilt Go! cutter and
love the precision and ease of cutting with this.

Before cutting the hearts,
I fused some Mistyfuse to the back of the fabrics.
This is my first time using Mistyfuse and I like it
better than some of the other fusibles I have used.

It took some time getting the hearts measured and placed just right.
Now to get this one quilted!
This seems to be a theme here...
I am getting tops made, but the quilting is not getting done.

SOON!!

For those of you who are good at naming quilts....
any ideas for this one?

Happy March! Happy Monday! and Happy Quilting!

  1. As soon as I saw it I thought "The Queen of Hearts". I'd love to hear why you like Misty fuse. I've read that several "famous" quilters like Softfuse, but you never know if they really like it or they are working for the company. For years I used Wonder Under, and then Steam a Seam. I'm now using Heat N Bond.

  2. You have been very productive! I tried Misty Fuse and didn't like it. There is another I use now that is equally soft, but I'd have to dig some out of the drawer to get the name of it -- some initials that I can never remember.

  5. What a beautiful quilt. I'll have to give the misty fuse a try, I haven't been particularly happy with any of them on the market. How abrout Ring around my Heart for a name? I really like Queen of hearts too

  6. What a fabulous quilt! I love it!
I so understand about making tops, Mt. ToBeQuilted is about to erupt if I don't get some of these tops off of it. :)
I've never tried Misty fuse, I'll have to look for it.

  11. Beautiful quilt! You did an amazing job with the color gradations. Queen of Hearts works. As a potential alternative, how about Cross My Heart, as that's a big part of your design.
