As the sleet, freezing rain and ice hit my windows,
I'm planning on what I am going to accomplish today.
No one is going anywhere,
SEW...
I hope to sew!
UGH!! Go Away Winter!!
My "Mardi Gras" quilt is still on my design wall,
waiting for borders.
I have made 3/4 of the 9 patch squares that will be used
as one border.
The 2 1/2" squares are almost ready for the rest
of the 9 patches.
The purples are waiting to be cut down into squares.
The greens are ready to go.
I had to order some more green and purple for the other borders.
Those colors are difficult to find right now... in the
right shades anyway.
This week I added another
Dresden Plate to my collection.
I still am not sure of my plan for these.
Whatever it ends up being will be bright and cheerful!

Happy Quilting!
Love the purple blocks, very nice and my favorite color. I am in Southern Maryland so in the same boat as you on weather today, I to plan on spending the day sewing as the only time I will be leaving the house is to shovel at some point.
ReplyDeleteI am so in love with your Mardi Gras quilt, Ramona. It makes me smile. Same boat in Middle Tennessee, as well, though I don't think we got hit nearly as hard as some of you further north. My advice: Keep warm, and quilt on!
ReplyDeleteMardi Gras is gorgeous! Love all those purples!
