Design "Floor" Monday...

.... I need a larger design wall!

This quilt has been on my
"to-do" list since 2007!!
It was published in the
Fons and Porter magazine in
July 2007
and I have had the red fabric collected for
several years.

FINALLY it is becoming a quilt!

I have some snipping of ears to do!

Waiting for their other half!
I thought I had cut all of the pieces
necessary, but only cut half the number
for the pieced triangles.

Hopefully it will be a completed quilt soon!
I don't know why I have waited so long!!

I completed my Design Wall project from last week.
You can see it here.

  1. Your new quilt looks like it will take a lot of work but will be well worth it.

    1. This is an easy one to work on if I have only small amounts of time but it will take a while. I'm pleased with how it is coming together.

  2. Love your quilt blocks for the magazine. Sometimes projects just need to "stew" for awhile before you get back to them.

    1. That is so true about things needing to stew! I am not one who does well with "forced quilting" but I'm sure not many of us are!

  5. I really like your current quilt project. I wonder if I have that issue. That is something that would use up lots of scrap stash, right? Yours looks great so I know you will get it finished in no time.

  6. Thank you for your comments. This is using up some scraps... The size of the squares for the HST's is 3 3/8". The quilt pattern is for a 60" square quilt but I may make it bigger.
